Mobilitie, LLC is adding next-generation wireless networks to enhance the shopping experience at 15 GGP regional shopping centers across the U.S. The first group of properties to receive the networks include: Carolina Place (Pineville, N.C.); Hulen Mall (Ft. Worth, Texas); Oakbrook Center (Oak Brook, Ill.); Oakwood Mall, (Eau Claire, Wis.); The Parks Mall at Arlington (Arlington, Texas); Oglethorpe Mall (Savannah, Ga.); and Town East Mall (Mesquite, Texas). Mobilitie will add the same high-speed, high-capacity networks to eight other GGP shopping centers before the end of the year.

The wireless networks Mobilitie is adding at the 15 shopping centers will feature small antennas and radios that provide better signal quality and data speeds to users versus relying on service from outdoor macro networks which often have interference problems or capacity issues during high-traffic times and during the holiday shopping season. In addition, the Mobilitie networks are designed with the next generation of wireless technology (5G) in mind that will ultimately deliver 10x faster speeds than existing 4G LTE networks.
