Since joining Mobilitie in 2013, Jammie Witherspoon, Senior Director of Technical Solutions, has done a fantastic job leading the radio frequency (RF) design team for the Western United States. When he’s not providing support for his all-star team of RF engineers or supporting business development for carriers, he is a self-proclaimed wine connoisseur and enjoys venturing to vineyards to experience a glass of wine with great friends.
Get to know more about Jammie:
What is your role and responsibilities with Mobilitie?
As a Senior Director of Technical Solutions, I manage the RF design team for the Western U.S. region. Additional responsibilities include leading the pre- and post-sale process for venues and supporting the business development for carriers.
What’s one thing you love about Mobilitie?
Apart from my job responsibilities and the contributions I make to improve connectivity within the United States, I love working with the people here at Mobilitie.
What’s been one of your favorite wireless projects at Mobilitie?
My favorite project was designing and deploying the distributed antenna system (DAS) at The September 11 National Memorial Museum in New York City, and attending the opening ceremony of the museum. The emotions related to the significance of the venue makes the entire experience difficult to put into words, even to this day. It was a very powerful experience.
In your career, what have you found to be the biggest takeaway that you want others to know?
I would like for others to know that my top attributes are dependability, honesty, and loyalty. Throughout my career, I feel I have left that impression on my colleagues and as a result, I have formed many meaningful relationships that have remained to this day.
Outside of work, what is something you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love all sports, but football is my favorite, in particular. I even played semi-pro football in the early 2000’s! I also enjoy riding motorcycles, cycling around Orange County and California, and watching true crime and ancient history documentaries. I’m also a big wine lover and I enjoy spending the weekend at a vineyard enjoying great wine with friends.
